HOW TO USE PLANT PROTECTION PRODUCT:
Aphis Gossypi on Cotton: Upon examinations on relevant lands, in case there is a dense population of beneficial organisms apart from Aphis gossypi, application of the medication must be postponed. Application of the medication is recommended when %50 of the seedlings has pests on them after thinning activities are performed on the land; or, when average 25 Aphis gossypi is detected per one leaf.
Empoasca decipiens, Asymmetrasca decedens. On Cotton: While performing surveys, cotton lands must be divided into 4 separate sections. Then, random plants must be selected from each section, and 1 Leaf must be picked from all lower, mid and upper parts of stems of those plants; and number of Empoasca decipiens, Asymmetrasca decedens per Leaf must be counted. Number of pests per leaf must be determined by following above-mentioned method and by including 100 leaves in the process. In case average number of Empoasca decipiens, Asymmetrasca decedens per leaf is 10, then, it means that the medication must be applied.
Bemisia tabaci on Cotton: Agricultural protection activities must be commenced when 10 Larvae + Pupa is detected per Leaf by taking density of Bemisia tabaci population into consideration.
Leptinotarsa decemlineata on Potatoes: When average daily temperature reaches 14-15 C, corners of each land must be checked, eggs, larvae and mature pests must be counted. In case any pest at any phase is detected, it means that there is a population of pests present on the lands. If medication shall be applied against First Descendent, then the right time for applying the medication is when first mature larvae (fourth period) appear on plants. In case medication shall be applied for Second Descendent, then the right time for applying the medication is when all eggs are opened. No application of the medication might be necessary due to the reason damages that shall be caused by pest population can be tolerated by the plant during this plant. Moreover, at the end of performed researches, it is seen that %20 damage caused by the potato beetle on the leaves of the potato plant can be tolerated by the plant and there is no decrease on the product. This ratio is up to 40% depending on the phenological period and development of the plant.
Bemisia tabaci: Entered diagonally into the area determined to be infested with whiteflies. In every five steps, 50 leaves are collected, one from the lower, middle and upper leaves. When there are 5 larvae + pupae per leaf, the medication is applied.
Agonoscena pistaciae:
When 20-30 nymph per leave on 100 compound leaves per week are observed upon counting, application should be performed before the majority of the eggs hatch and the first adult parasitoid is released and the leaf surface become adhesive(fumagin).
